  Director of Youth Ministry

Resurrection Lutheran Church - Woodbury, MN

Resurrection Lutheran Church, Woodbury MN is seeking for a half time Director of Youth Ministry with the option of ¾ time. Resurrection is a growing congregation with a young membership. The congregation is 10 years old and has been in its first building for five years. The youth minister will be part of a team with five other full or part time church staff members.  

The primary objective of the Director will be to provide leadership for ministry to the youth of Resurrection and in the southeast suburbs of the Twin Cities. Our goal is to impact the lives of youth so that each student may become centered in Jesus Christ. The individual taking this position will be asked to build on the existing ministry and develop new dynamic elements of youth ministry in the years to come.

Desired Qualifications of a Successful Candidate

• A love for youth

• Working knowledge of scripture and the gospel
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Public leadership and public speaking experience
• Strong musical ability and the ability to equip youth as music leaders
• Effective organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
• A willingness to be a team player
• Bachelor’s degree
