About Our Church

Who We Are

The members and friends of Resurrection Lutheran Church welcome all God's children, no matter what their age, race, or religious background may be. God embraces each of us as unique individuals who have special gifts and needs.  God's warm welcome is what the congregation seeks to express to each visitor and member.

Resurrection is located in the Southeast Metro among many other great churches: large and small, formal and informal, Catholic and Protestant, exciting and dull.  Resurrection is neither small nor huge.  We have some formality in worship, but we also have plenty of fun as a community of faith.  We are Lutheran, but we have plenty of people from other denominations or no religious affiliation.  We think we are excited about God's mission for us, but that may be our bias.

We confess our faith in God, the creator of heaven and earth; in God's Son, Jesus Christ, the savior of the world and in the Holy Spirit, the sustainer of faith.  We believe that Jesus Christ has restored us to a right relationship with God through Jesus' life, death and resurrection.  This new relationship is the free gift of God's grace. The Bible is God's Word that promises us life and salvation.

Is Resurrection connected to other Lutherans?

Resurrection Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are also proud to be a partner with Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp in Amery, Wisconsin.

What is the ELCA story and beliefs?

The ELCA’s story is both ancient and timely. It’s a story of a powerful and patient God who has boundless love for all people of the world. It’s a story that brings deep meaning, comfort and strength to a growing community of people who live in modern, often unsettling times.
