Mission Leadership Team

The Mission Leadership Team (MLT) provides the overall leadership and vision for the congregation.  MLT consists of seven members: the pastor and six members who are elected at the annual congregational meeting to three year terms.  The president of the MLT serves also as a president of the congregation.  MLT also provides oversight to the various ministry teams within the congregation.

Bill Braun (Vice President)

Bill Braun

I have five children and a lovely wife, Beth. At Resurrection we found a church home welcoming of all people to a life in Christ, people really living the mission.  We have met some of our best friends through Resurrection.  I did my graduate work at the Carlson School of the University of Minnesota with an MBA in Strategy. I've worked with ELCA's Luther Seminary for over 20 years as a strategic technology partner.  Additionally, I am a retired City of Woodbury Firefighter/EMT, and hold current certifications to teach and Technology Systems license from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

I have been a member of Resurrection since 1997. I have served in various ways, including the Worship Team as flute player, the Building Task Force, various Call Committees, and the Youth Ministry Leadership Team. My husband Dave is also active at Resurrection. Our three adult children, Robbie, Allison (and Kellen), and Jessica, grew up here. We are grateful for the community at Resurrection, who made this a place our children loved to go and helped nourish and grow their faith. I am very excited to be called to join the Mission Leadership Team.

Glenn Jorenby

Glenn JorenbyI've been a member of RLC since 2000 and have always enjoyed serving in some capacity. Over the years I've been involved with the set up crew (when Resurrection was meeting at the school), ushering, greeting, serving snacks, computer tech support, pumpkin patch/harvest fest, numerous events and a member of the worship band. My wife Janice is active in several areas of the church and our 3 sons were confirmed here. This is our church home and I believe we are at an exciting yet challenging point now as we begin the call for a new pastor and look to chart our future as a congregation. I see the role of MLT members as an opportunity to continue to serve God and our congregation and be an active part of its future. I am honored to be nominated and look forward to serving.

Marcia Kolstad (Secretary)

Marcia KolstadMy husband Brad and I have been involved with Resurrection since before it was organized as a church. We were looking for a church home where we could get to know people in the community where we lived. We have friendships with many wonderful and talented people and have experienced so much more than we ever expected! I have served on the leadership team, the stewardship team and the interior design team during construction of the church building, and I am on the variety show planning team and a member of the worship team. In addition to playing the flute and singing, other interests include walking, bicycling, reading, making beaded jewelry, quilting, baking, nutrition, healthy living, interior decorating and gardening. I am looking forward to serving the congregation on the Mission Leadership Team, and to an exciting future for Resurrection.

Ryan Thompson (President)

Ryan ThompsonMy family and I joined Resurrection about 4 years ago, and have found a wonderful community. I was interested in joining the MLT because I believe that our church, our community of faith, needs our time and energy to make it a better place. Our family has been involved with many things over the past few years, but I realize that I could give more. Much is bound to happen at Resurrection in the next couple years, and I am excited for the chance to be a part of it.

Julie Tighe

Julie Tighe

Since birth I have been involved in church at varying degrees.  I played the role of baby Jesus in our church's Christmas pageant (I cried the entire time!), but also was involved in Sunday School, First Communion, and Confirmation. As a senior in High School, I was a youth representative and had many opportunities to represent our youth in council at church as well as the community. As an adult I have worked with the youth, music and dance programs at a twin cities area church. I look forward to serving on the Mission Leadership Team during this time of growth and transition, as well as beyond.
