Years 1 & 2:
1.
Attendance and participation
in Wednesday night classes for two school years. [Please call or
e-mail Pastor Sara if you must be gone - 651-730-1000, x 222 or
svanderpan@visi.com.]
2.
Completion of missed class work when absent.
3.
Completion of 20 message notes each year before Confirmation
Sunday (40 total). These notes may be taken at another church if
you are traveling or staying overnight with a friend.
4.
Complete of 30 Faith Building Credits each year (60 total).
Varying numbers of credits will be given for projects such as faith
discussions, writing projects, Bible verse memorization, art
projects, and service projects.
5.
Memorization of Ten Commandments, Apostles’ Creed, and Lord’s
Prayer in 2008-9. And memorization of the Books of the Bible in
2009-10.
3rd Fall, in preparation for Confirmation Sunday:
1. Completion of a written faith statement. More
information is given to students as they begin their 3rd
fall and prepare for their October Confirmation Sunday.
2. Completion of two final interviews – one with Pastor
Sara and one with a member of our Mission Leadership Team. These
short interviews will be a time to talk about faith and the
student’s relationship with God. More information is given as
students begin their 3rd fall.
What to bring to class: A Bible, a pen or pencil, your class 3-ring
binder, & your Lutheran Handbook
