Guest Performer - Research and Booking

Job Description:  Find and schedule guest performers for Sunday School or special family events. Get ideas from Director of Children’s Ministries, from other churches, from advertising, etc.  Contact references or preview performances or sample tapes. Coordinate schedules with Sunday School staff and/or Director of Children’s Ministries.  Schedule entertainers and arrange for any special equipment and/or space needs.  Assist in welcoming guest to Resurrection and sit in as needed during performance.

Time Commitment:  Approximately 2 hours/month - primarily between June and September; 1 hour/month or less during remainder of year; this varies somewhat depending on scheduled events.

Term Commitment: 1 school year.

Requirements:

• Ability to organize and publicize promotional materials.
• Willingness to seek out quality performers.
• Meet with Director of Children’s Ministries to determine needs and set schedules.

Support Provided:

• Resources and suggestions.

• Necessary budget information.

• Prayer.

• As needed from Director of Children’s Ministries and Pastor.
