Summer Sundays

Job Description:  Lead, with others, activities, crafts, and/or games for children during worship 1 or 2 Sundays during June, July, and August. Theme for Summer 2000 will be "SonZone Discovery Center – Faith-building Experiments."  Lesson ideas for fun hands-on "experiments" demonstrating truths about God’s love will be provided.

We hope to have a team of 6 adults for every Sunday, enabling the group of volunteers to divide the children into younger and older age groups for part of the lesson time.

Time Commitment: 1 or 2 Sundays, up to 2 hours (1 hour on Sunday morning, up to 1 hour preparation)

Requirements:

• Love and respect for children.
• Ability to use provided materials to plan and lead meaningful activities for children.
• Arrive early enough to prepare area or materials.

Support Provided:

• 1 Training Session.

• Curriculum materials and ideas.

• Basic supplies and growing resource library.

• Reimbursement for purchase of needed materials Co-leaders.

• Prayer.

• As needed from Director of Children’s Ministries and Pastor.
