Trail Mix Leader

Job Description: Help plan and lead children’s activities during the 11:00 worship celebration. Use provided curriculum to plan a welcome time followed by lesson-related games, crafts, and/or music. Trail Mix is in the early stages of its development and can use your creativity to help it grow! Current curriculum foundation is Faith Weavers Children’s Church, providing children a worship experience based on the same Bible lesson as the 9:30 Sunday School time.

Time Commitment: 

• 1 Sunday per month, 2-3 hours that week (1 hour on Sunday morning, 1-2 hours planning)

• Two – three times each year there will be a staff training opportunity

Term Commitment: 1 school year (September – May)

Requirements:

• Love and respect for children.
• Ability to plan & lead meaningful activities for children.
• Arrive early enough to prepare area or materials.
• Commitment to attend 2-3 regular volunteer development sessions.
• Willing to allow background check.

Support Provided:

• In-house training and peer support opportunities.

• Curriculum materials, including leader’s guide.

• Professional workshop fees paid in part or full.

• Other volunteers (team members or storytellers or musicians).

• Growing resource library & basic classroom supplies.

• Reimbursement for some additional materials.

• Prayer.

• As needed from Director of Children’s Ministries & Pastor.
