Resurrection Lutheran Church

Our Church History

Resurrection Lutheran Church is located at the corner of Bailey Road and County Road 19 (Woodbury Drive) in Woodbury.

Our new 13,000 square feet building includes a 350-seat sanctuary, offices, education classrooms, nursery, kitchen and reception areas.  The master plan for the site includes additional phases which will allow for seating of up to 1,500 people and expanded education areas.

Resurrection Lutheran Church was organized in 1998 by Pastor Ted Vanderpan who continues to serve as Pastor along with his wife Sara Vanderpan who is Associate Pastor.  Planning for the building began in March of 2000 when the initial capital campaign took place.

The church building construction was the realization of a dream for Inez Oehlke from whom Resurrection purchased the land for the project.  The first farmers settled the land 150 years ago, and the Oehlke’s were the fourth owner of the property.  She and her late husband Glen had always wanted a Lutheran church to be built on that site.
