Book Discussion Group

Book TalkLove to read? Would you like to engage in faith conversations sparked by thought-provoking books? Join other adults for Book Talk to discuss a range of both nonfiction and fiction works.

A different title will be discussed each month, with participants selecting the title and location for the next gathering. Come to one book talk or every one, depending on your schedule and your interests.

The March book title is Braving The Wilderness, by Brene Brown. Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston and has one of the top five most-viewed TED Talks. She writes, " . . . in a culture that's rife with perfectionism and pleasing, and with the erosion of civility, it's easy to stay quiet, hide in our ideological bunkers, or fit in rather than show up as our true selves and brave the wilderness of uncertainty and criticism. But true belonging . . . is a daily practice that demands integrity and authenticity."

Join the discussion on Tuesday, 3/6 at 7 pm at the Carlson/Bjorhus home. Contact Su Sorenson or Kari Bjorhus for more information.
